- A beginning teacher works as a partner with parents, families, and the community.

I took part in one of the community conversations that was held on February 16th. I found it to be very englightening to hear the community opinions on the current education system in the Anchorage School District. I am looking forward to hearing what they discuss at the capstone Summit. (http://www.muni.org/Departments/Mayor/Pages/MayorsEducationSummit.aspx)
This kind of community conversation is a good artifact for Standard VII because it shows communication between several factions concerning education. This community conversation also allowed parents and families to set goals for the school district. |
